At RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, each initial patient consultation is different.

  • Depending on your needs, desired treatments, areas of concern, and simply who you are as a patient, we will schedule you with an actual treatment provider to discuss your goals, budget, and more. During this appointment, we will go through before & after photos, your medical history, and any questions you might have. Only then can we make a recommendation for which procedures or treatments may be right for you and why. We will be sure to educate you on how the treatments work, including what to expect during and afterward.

    A typical consultation lasts about 40 minutes and is free of charge for all aesthetic treatments, including Restylane Kysse treatment in Vernon Hills. At the end of your consultation, you will leave our office in Vernon Hills with a thorough, personalized treatment plan. And when you’re ready, we’ll schedule your first treatment session.

The Procedure

During your Restylane Kysse appointment in Vernon Hills, we will ensure your total comfort in a clean, comfortable, and private treatment room.

Restylane Kysse injections are an in-office procedure that takes around 30 minutes. Your treatment will begin with a RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa experienced provider reviewing your treatment plan and listening to your expectations before treatment. Then treatment will include an ultrafine needle or microcannula (a blunt-tipped needle), that your injector will slowly inject the gel in tiny amounts, gently massaging the area with their fingers. You may be injected a few times to distribute the gel evenly in the discussed areas.

  • If you have sensitive skin or anxiety about needles, we may discuss additional comfort measures before treatment, such as a topical numbing cream. You may be injected a few times to distribute the gel evenly in the discussed areas.

The Recovery

Post-treatment instructions may include:

  • Avoid certain medications and supplements
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Directions to avoid touching or massaging the skin
  • Avoid excess sweating and heat

After your treatment, you may experience side effects, such as swelling, redness, pain, bruising or tenderness up to 3-7 days.
