The Procedure

During your Restylane appointment in Vernon Hills, we will ensure your total comfort in a clean, comfortable, and private treatment room.

Restylane Silk injections are an in-office procedure that takes around 30 minutes. Your treatment will begin with a RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa experienced provider reviewing your treatment plan and listening to your expectations before treatment. Restylane Silk injections are formulated with lidocaine, local numbing aging, to ensure a comfortable delivery of the treatment.

Restylane Silk is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. Restylane maintains its shape using the body’s own moisture. As hyaluronic acid gradually degrades, each molecule binds to more water and over time, the same volume can be maintained with less hyaluronic acid. This ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide lasting results. Restylane Silk is FDA approved for the lips. The Restylane family of products, Perlane^®, Restylane, and now Restylane Silk are all hyaluronic acid gel products composed of gel particles. The different products of this family are distinguished by their particle size, imparting different filling uses for each product.
