Botox injections can be an effective way to control excessive sweating. It works by blocking a chemical in the body that activates the sweat glands. The FDA have approved this treatment for underarm use only.

The Procedure

During your BOTOX for sweating appointment, we will ensure your total comfort in a clean, comfortable, and private treatment room.

Our experienced doctors injects very small amounts of Botox into the muscle in a pattern usually 1-2 centimeters apart. Both underarms can be injected in 10 minutes or less. Prior to injections, RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa doctors may numb the area with ice or topical anesthetic; this will help to ease any pain or discomfort.

The Recovery

Some patients may experience mild bruising at the injection sites, but in general, BOTOX does not require any downtime or recovery period.

If bruising occurs, it should go away in a matter of days.
