How it Works
The Consultation
At RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, each initial patient consultation is different.
Depending on your needs, desired treatments, areas of concern, and simply who you are as a patient, we will schedule you with an actual treatment provider to discuss your goals, budget, and more. During this appointment, we will go through before & after photos, your medical history, and any questions you might have. Only then can we make a recommendation for which procedures or treatments may be right for you and why. We will be sure to educate you on how the treatments work, including what to expect during and afterward.
A typical consultation lasts about 40 minutes and is free of charge for all aesthetic treatments, including Dysport. At the end of your consultation, you will leave our office in Vernon Hills with a thorough, personalized treatment plan. And when you’re ready, we’ll schedule your first treatment session.
The Procedure
During your Dysport appointment, we start by ensuring your total comfort in a clean, comfortable, and private treatment room.
Our experienced providers will then mark the target areas on your face where the formula will be injected. There will be five injections total, all of which are itself are done with a fine point needle and are minimally invasive. Topical numbing cream can also be provided for your added comfort.
The entire process will take a total of 10-20 minutes, making it and easy procedure to complete during a lunch break or in-between errands. Following the procedure, you’ll be able to go about your day as normal
The Recovery
Following your injections, you should be able to carry on with all normal daily activities.
Most people will start seeing results roughly 48-72 hours after the procedure, and those results should last up to five months. These results are noticeably quicker than Botox injections, due to the fact that Dysport has less protein that can be broken down by the body.
Following your Dysport appointment, it’s normal to experience some minor pain at site of injection and headaches. These side effects are perfectly normal and should naturally heal by themselves, and shouldn’t prevent you from continuing daily activities.
