How it Works
The Consultation
At RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, each initial patient consultation is different.
Depending on your needs, desired treatments, areas of concern, and simply who you are as a patient, we will schedule you with an actual treatment provider to discuss your goals, budget, and more. During this appointment, we will go through before & after photos, your medical history, and any questions you might have. Only then can we make a recommendation for which procedures or treatments may be right for you and why. We will be sure to educate you on how the treatments work, including what to expect during and afterward.
A typical consultation lasts about 40 minutes and is free of charge for all treatments, including HALO Laser Facial treatment. At the end of your consultation, you will leave our office in Vernon Hills with a thorough, personalized treatment plan. And when you’re ready, we’ll schedule your first treatment session.
The Procedure
As with any procedure at RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, we will begin your HALO Laser Facial treatment by ensuring your total comfort in a clean, comfortable, and private treatment room.
After applying a numbing cream to reduce any potential discomfort during the procedure, a provider will use the handheld HALO Laser device to precisely target and correct skin issues. Meanwhile, the system’s integrated cooling technology will keep you comfortable during the procedure. Once finished, a restorative skin cream is applied to the treatment area to keep the skin moist.
The Recovery
Overall, patients can resume many normal activities following HALO Laser Facial treatment (though, it will look like you’ve been in the sun for too long).
It is typical for your skin to be very dry during recovery, before it begins to flake. Flaking skin usually occurs within five days of treatment, and the entire process can take anywhere from one to two weeks.
It’s also important to apply sun screen every day after your treatment, as your skin will be very sensitive.
