RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Medspa Donate Partial Proceeds to Breast

(October 2, 2014) – RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Medspa is raising awareness about the life-saving importance of risk management and early treatment of breast cancer. RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Medspa will donate a portion of the proceeds from laser facial rejuvenation treatments to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second-most common cancer overall, according to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In 2014, an estimated 232,030 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone.
A shocking 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
“It’s important to take care of ourselves and seek early detection to do everything we can to avoid disease or cancer,” says Dr.
Ritacca, medical director of RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Medspa.” He adds, “I have the pleasure of working with mostly women and it’s an honor to be able to help support a great cause.”
In healthy individuals, our bodies control the creation, growth and death of cells. However, systems can malfunction or breakdown which can initiate more cell growth than death. The result is a mass of tissue known either as a malignant tumor or breast cancer.
You can make a difference by signing up for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K run or walk or donating. This event not only raises funds for breast cancer, but it is also a wonderful celebration of the survivors of this disease and a remembrance of those whom have been lost.
