Volbella is a dermal filler designed to soften wrinkles around the mouth and enhance volume in the lips. The mouth often shows signs of aging in the form of thin lips, fine lines, and volume loss. What can be expected during and after a Juvederm Volbella treatment?
Volbella is injected with a very small needle directly into the lines and lips while a smooth gel fills them in. The treatment only takes about 15 minutes and patients refer to it feeling like a pinch. After having the treatment the injector will go over post care. Common post care can be applying ice for swelling if needed and avoiding makeup to the area for about 12 hours. Bruising and swelling are a possible side effect of fillers and if they occur they typically reside within a week.
