Celebrity Comes Clean about Gynecomastia, and So Can You

Any bodily flaw can be a source of low self-esteem. But for men, there’s something especially embarrassing about gynecomastia. If you suffer from it, you may feel like it’s robbed you of your masculinity. Even the name, which means “woman breasts” in Greek, seems emasculating. Many men are so embarrassed that they prefer not to do anything about it, hoping that baggy shirts and slouching will be sufficient to cover it up. This is a shame, because gynecomastia can be corrected safely with plastic surgery.

If you have this unfortunate condition, perhaps you can take heart from the example set by one famous celebrity who confronted it head-on, and whose manliness nobody could ever question. Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” played football for the University of Miami, spent 10 years as a professional wrestler, and has starred in action films like The Scorpion King, Fast Five, and Hercules. He also formerly suffered from gynecomastia, and has publicly spoken about the surgery he had to get rid of it.

If he was able to face his condition and do something about it, so can you. A surgeon can treat gynecomastia by removing the fat and/or breast tissue causing it. Afterwards, you may not look like The Rock, but you’ll feel a massive increase in confidence. You’ll no longer be embarrassed to appear in public without a shirt, and you’ll be able to wear tight-fitting clothes without feeling self-conscious about how you look.
