Currently, the only options for fat removal in the double-chin area today, is to cut it out or suck it out until now.
The Kythera Biopharmaceutical drug now named, Kybella, is identical to deoxycholic acid—a solution that aids the body to absorb fats that are naturally produced by the body, according to the FDA. Kybella is an injection administered into the fat tissue in the submental area (under the chin) and works to destroy fat cells. As of right now, Kybella is only FDA approved for the submental area.
